Our General Dentists
Lawrence Kraus, DDS
Dr.
Kraus received his dental surgery doctorate from the University
of Detroit Dental School and his undergraduate degree from
the University of Michigan. Dr. Larry Kraus entered private
practice and joined Knollwood Dental Care as an associate
in 1987, eventually became a partner and today is the owner
of the practice. Dr. Kraus stays abreast of the most current
dental techniques available by attending continuing education
courses throughout the year where he has received extensive
training in implant restoration. He is an active member of
the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association,
Macomb Dental Society and the Detroit District Dental Society.
Andy Kim, DDS
Dr.
Kim is a graduate of Michigan State University. He received
his dental degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in
1997. He earned Honors from the American Academy of Oral and
Maxillofacial Radiology and the Department of Biomedical Sciences.
Dr. Kim also completed a General Practice Residency program
at the Westchester County Medical Center in New York. Dr.
Kim is Certified in Invisalign, in NobleBiocare Dental Implants,
Team Endo and the Dawson Advanced Dental Study. Dr. Kim is a partner at Knollwood Dental Care.
Dr. Matthew Lindemann
Dr.
Matthew V. Lindemann grew up in Flint, Michigan. He attended the University of
Michigan-Ann Arbor for his undergraduate studies where he received a Bachelor
of Arts with honors in Psychology.
He remained in Ann Arbor for his dental education
and became a primary researcher and author on fiber post removal techniques,
and received the Student Achievement Award in Endodontics.
After dental school,
Dr. Lindemann attended The Ohio State University where he researched oral sedation
and local anesthesia to receive a Masters of Science in Endodontics. During his
specialty program, Dr. Lindemann taught pre-clinical and clinical endodontics
to undergraduate dental students, and was the student representative to the Public
and Professional Affairs Committee for the American Association of Endodontics.
He is currently a professional member of this committee. He is also and active
member of local, state, and national dental associations.
Lydia Kossak D'Agostini, DDS
Dr. Kossak joins Knollwood Dental Care June 2007. She received her DDS from University of Detroit Mercy in 2000 after obtaining an undergraduate degree in Nutritional Science from Michigan State University. She has been practicing dentistry in eastern Macomb County since she graduated. Dr. Kossak is a second generation dentist. Her father is a prominent oral surgeon in Macomb County. She takes special interest in implant restoration and cosmetic dentistry.
Chander Bhatti, DDS
Doctor
Bhatti was raised in Windsor Ontario. This is where he received his Pre-Dental
education. After receiving his Bachelor of Science from the University of Windsor,
he attended the University of Detroit - Mercy for Dental Education. He graduated
from University of Detroit - Mercy in 1995. After Dental School, Doctor Bhatti
completed a two year residency in Implant Dentistry at New York University. He
has earned his fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantology
and also his fellowship from American Academy of Implantology.
Education is a lifelong phenomenon. Dr. Bhatti continues seeking up-to-date treatment
techniques in dentistry by taking professional continuing education courses and
attending dental conventions through out North America to bring the best treatment
options and dental material available to his patients. Besides his professional
life Dr. Bhatti enjoys time with his wife and especially his two loving kids
Jacob and Olivia. |

Dr. El Kholy, DDS
Dr. El Kholy is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics
and Oral Medicine at the University of Michigan. He earned a DDS from the University
of Detroit Mercy and a Certificate in Periodontics and a Masters of Science in
Dentistry from Indiana University.
Dr. El Kholy is a Diplomate of the American
Board of Periodontology and an Ambassador for the American Academy of Periodontology
Foundation. He was awarded the Henry M. Swenson Award for clinical and didactic
excellence in Periodontology from Indiana University.
He also received the Abram
and Sylvia Chasens Teaching and Research Fellowship from the American Academy
of Periodontology Foundation, which is an award given to somone who demonstrates
excellent character, integrity, a record of academic and personal achievements,
and an aptitude for teaching and research. He conducts clinical research in the
area of Periodontics, Regeneration and Implant dentistry at the University of
Michigan.
H. Robert Steiman, DDS, PhD, MSD
Dr.
Steiman is a Board Certified Endodontist and the Dean of the
University of Detroit School of Dentistry. He received his
PhD from Wayne State University School of Medicine, his dental
degree from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry
and his MSD and Certificate in Endodontics from Indiana University
School of Dentistry. Dr. Steiman has been on the faculty of
the University of Detroit School of Dentistry (now the University
of Detroit Mercy) since 1967 and has served as the Chairman
of several departments. Dr. Steiman has been very active in
organized dentistry and has served as the President of the
Michigan Association of Endodontists and a Director of the
American Association of Endodontists and the American Board
of Endodontists. Dr. Steiman is retired from full time practice.
Robert E. Singer, DDS, MS
Dr.
Singer is a Board Certified Orthodontist. Dr. Singer received
his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree with Honors from the University
of Detroit School of Dentistry in 1969. He received a Master
of Science Degree in Orthodontics from the University of Michigan.
In 1972, he established his orthodontic practice in Northville,
Michigan. He has enjoyed his work as an Orthodontist at Knollwood
Dental Care since 2001. Dr. Singer is an active member in
the Great Lakes Orthodontic Study Club and has professional
affiliations with the American Association of Orthodontists
and local, state and national dental societies.
